kawasaki fj180v kai 179cc vertical engine

I bought this new kawasaki fj180v kai 179cc vertical engine. I put oil and gasoline in it. i have pulled the drawstring many a times but just cant get it started. I would greatly appreciate any tips or instructions on getting it started. Thanks in advance.

    First make sure the brake is fully releasing as it has the ignition switch attached to it.

    Just out of curiosity did you install a blade if the mower does not have bbc.

    I have a kawasaki fb460v on a Toro weed mower. It won't start. Checked gas, spark. Not much compression. I can't find the OHV plate. Where is the valve cover so I can check the clearances?
