B&S 110P05-0002-F4 carb spring connection locations
I have a lawn mower (Sears and Husqvarna AWD) that uses the Briggs and Stratton 110P05-0002-F4 engine. The mower does not have a throttle by design and it was running slow. When I checked the mower, a spring fell out so I looked up in the manual. The manual part number for the spring shoes part number 209 just floating in space, not connected to anything. I've attached a couple photos. The linkages appear to be intact but the governor rod (part # 202 on the diagram) moves freely so it's clear that needs to be attached in some way to a spring. My guess is the end of the governor cable get connected to the thottle and the throttle lever is connected to a spring which is connected to the vertical metal (gold colored) support. Ideally this would have been shown on the diagram. Thank you for you help!

I removed the air cleaner to get a clear view and added some comments to help the discussion of where to connect both end of spring number 209 in the B&S engine manual. See the attached. Thank you for your help!

Solved, I cleaned off the carb assembly with choke cleaner, and watched a couple videos how carbs and governors worked. None was exactly like this but it was clear the governor rod needed spring tension. After cleaning off I could see a small hole in the the throttle adjustment right next to where the governor rod attached. In the previous photo that hole was directly under the auto choke adjustment rod. I've attached a couple of updated photos and corrected the marked up drawing to be more clear where the springs and linkages are on the sears AWD 917.375922 mower with the B&S 111P05-0002 engine. I hope you don't have the problem but if you do this should help!
