Weed Eater FB25 starts normally, but almost immediately starts losing RPM.

Weed Eater FB25 starts normally, but almost immediately starts losing RPM and shuts down entirely inside of a 30-45 seconds, or less.  Will restart normally and repeatedly, but each time repeats the same start up & shut down action. After starting it, I can keep it running by moving the choke lever back & forth quickly until I find the choke lever's sweet spot, which is usually between the full and half choke position. If I let go of the lever, it will sooner or later start drifting back toward the full choke position and shut down again.

I saw a carburetor kit online for this model number that has both levers attached to whatever it is their attached to... Maybe that's the carburetor itself, or whatever gets mounted to the carburetor? Maybe the carburetor kit will cure this problem?

Both levers attached would be the carb, seen some kits on eBay with the fuel lines and fuel filter also.
