There is no set screw. The engine shaft has a slotted key that keys in with the pump. Yours is very likely just rusted to the shaft.Spray some penetrating oil and use a screw driver to pry back and forth,(some slight tapping too will help). It'll eventually slide off. Any reason why you can't clean it? Their pretty simple and just looking at the parts diagramshow's what's what... GX340 replacement carb

Howdy, noob here - I have a question please.... I've an old GX340 honda on a pressure washer and just tried to fire it up after 9 months of sitting(non-ethanol gas) and it fired up as it always does but then died several times off n on which it has not ever done since the replacement carb years back..
