I have an MTD shredder that I bought new several years ago.  It has been stored inside all its life.  I am trying to bring it back to life.  IF it has a condenser and points ignition, and I havent torn it apart to check yet,  I want to upgrade it.  The compression is good and the valves are working properly. No spark.   But I am having a hard time ID ing it so I can buy parts.  The engine is a Tecumpseh 3.5HP horizontal shaft, single cyl.  H35 45636S  ser 12038A.  I am sure of the numbers, checked them several times because I am told they are the wrong length.
Can anyone ID this engine?
Thank you.

The parts diagram shows there aren't points/condenser on this engine:

I don't see a thin "kill" wire that would attach to the coil (to kill ignition when turned off).

If there is one, disconnect it from the coil and check for spark again.
Coil gap should be  .010" (or the thickness of a business card)...

The system consists of the coil and flywheel, nothing else.
Coils do fail...

Thanks for the illustrations and the knowledge that it already has a solid state ignition.  That will save me time
