Hi everyone.  I purchased a 24" Ariens deluxe snowblower back in fall 2021.
I had it serviced at the authorized Ariens dealer in the fall of 2023 (oil change, lube etc)

I store the blower in a shed that gets very hot in the summer (probably around 90 degrees celsius plus) on hot days and in the winter it will get as cold as minus 25 degrees Celsius or more.

I was just moving things around the shed and noticed a pool of oil on the shed floor.  I checked the engine oil
and there seems to be the correct amount of oil.  I noticed what appears to be oil "sweating" around the engine area.  As of Sunday the blower has dripped about two drops of oil.

Any idea what the issue can be?  The blower runs great.  Is it possible that if I overfilled the oil and this would happen?  Is it the crazy heat in the summer that may have caused an issue.  Any advice would be appreciated

What make and model engine?

Looks like either the drain plug isn't tight / leaking or the side cover gasket.

The leak isn't normal, for a newish machine and the swing in temps wouldn't
cause that leak.

The factory may not have tightened those side bolts fully, the oil change-may have gotten
a piece of crap between the block and drain bolt.

To narrow it down, use use brake cleaner on the entire damp area. Run the machine
paying attention for where the seeping comes from.

Will that little bit of oil hurt anything?   Only if you let the level drop below safe.
Definitly put a wrench on the drain plug. If it's not snug, coming loose while in operation
would not be good...

Plz post back what you find...

.

thank-you for the feedback
I have enclosed a picture on the blower engine etc

Besides the oil sweating on the top.... there is a very tiny drip (one to two drops a week)
on the bottom left near the left tire.  I will follow up as soon as I get outside and follow
your advice to tighten the bolts

thank-you
