Greetings!

Great forum here! Glad I found it. I've come across something I've never run into in my 67 years.

I inherited a TroyBilt 2410 Snowthrower and need to change the Spark Plug. No big deal, right? According to the manufacturer the specs within the manual state "The Gap should be set to 0.030 - 0.06". I then spoke with their Tech Support and was told "You need to set it somewhere between 0,030 - 0.036". Excuse me? I asked her to please repeat that lest I misunderstood her but I heard what I heard.

Unless someone knows differently all I can do is check the current Gap and set the new plug accordingly.

Any thoughts?

Best,

Lyman

Every small engine I've worked on, (such as yours) is  .030", period.
Briggs, Honda, Tecumseh, even the Honda clones (from China),  etc...

The smaller engines are .025", 020"
