Hi new guy here with a prøblem.
I recently bought a 4 pak of stihl 2 stroke oil in the little oraange 1 0z bottles from ace hardware
I mixed what I thought was 1 oz of stihl oil in a fresh gal of gas
I filled the tanks of my 3 tools KM55RC  KM55R & BG56 and my wife and I started to work with them, after about 20-30 min one after the other stopped working.
I tried and tried to start them back up and all I got was a snap or a cough and that was that
That is when I discovered that those little bottles of stihl oil were not 1 oz as I though, but 2oz. The bottle are the same size at first glance but then I found they are a little fatter, very deceptive
What damage have I done to my tools and how can I fix it?????

Check spark arrestor in exhaust. I used a higher oil mix once on km55 and it clogged spark arrestor, cleaned it and still runs.

Ok, the label shows one container to one gallon of fuel.

How much oil did you mix with one gallon of fuel?

I checked the spark arresters, most were OK, but I cleaned them all anyway, no help at all
I did not read the label because the jar looked just like the original jars I have been using for many years. Just poured it all in to a 1 gal fuel container,  but the label does read, "Makes Two Gallons"
Someone on another site suggested boiling the carb for 5 to 10 minutes. He gave no other info, such as, how to, in what, etc. I wrote back w/questions, no answer....yet

Could be fuel filter or the small screen in the carb. Edited because I misread og post. Don’t boil these carbs, just no. Not a bad idea to clean spark plug also.

All my problems started shortly after we added fuel with accidentally double the oil amount to gas. Something must have clogged up somewhere on all 3 motors within 20-30 minutes after we started using them. IT was very strange.
Looking up Carb rebuild kits the only one specific to my machine BG56 I have in my cart to order from Hippa
but I cannot find any kit that is specific to KM55 or KM55R or KM55RC, I suspect they all have the same carb. Can any one help me there?

Should have numbers on carb to get right rebuild kit. I think km55r has the C1q Zama but I think they were a few different models for it though. I’m at work so can’t look right now

You don't need to rebuild the carbs, period..

Obviously, dump all the fuel, put in the correct mix.
If the machine has a primer bulb, prime it a bunch to flush it.

Pull the spark plug and spin the engine over a couple (to clear it out).
The old spark plug is possibly fouled so install a new one, .020"..

If the machine does not start normally, hold the throttle WIDE OPEN, choke open.
It should now kick and likely smoke a bit for awhile.

I took the carb apart, there was some crud in the pump side but looking at the little screen I saw nothing on it.

I just put the parts in my ultrasonic cleaner along with a carb cleaner solution

Is there a schematic avail of these little carbs to show how the fuel flows etc?

Correct me if I am wrong but the primer bulb has a double function, press down and it push's fuel, primes, but when you let it up a suction forms to suck fuel up into the carb pump section.
