Well, I hit something, and it bent/gouged... inwards? Not sure how this happened. Any good way to fix? I have not tried anything as of yet, didn't want to make it worse. Attached photos.

I'd clean the area really, really good .

Get a pair pliers and a heat gun.
Get the area hot to the point the material will flex/bend back with the pliers.

Get it back to where it belongs and let cool.  It'll still be "flexible" for a little
while as it cools..

If you want to make it perfect, I would use some duct tape, and make a "form "
on the bottom (machine on it's side-remove air filter or drain all fuel).

With your form in place use some high strength JB weld and pour it in the mold.
Let it set up overnight and then file it to form it back.  You may have to do a couple of coats..

Interesting, didn't know a heat gun could make it pliable again. Thanks!

You can do ALOT with a heat gun, wouldn't be without it...

Might want to check the blade, that it and the crankshaft didn't get bent either..

Please post back how it goes!

Will do! I have had a use for a heat gun multiple times, but have gotten by without one, but this may be the excuse I need to finally get one.

I'll check the rest, it looked ok at first glance, the noise it was making sounded a lot like a blade hitting a bent piece of deck... so hopefully not off balance or bent.

Thanks again!

Nothing, fancy, just picked up a cheap Wagner heat gun at HD over the weekend. Few seconds heating up, little bend, check to make sure the blades don't contact, and see how it goes this evening.
