Hello everyone!

I have an issue. Just replaced the head gasket on my Craftsman T2500, engine 33R877 0002 151228ZD. Now before tightening the bolts, I need some foot pounds info. As I have found conflicting info.

I pulled up the check chart, didnt see my engine listed.

Found a website called:  engine specs: It listed the head bolt torque as 18.5 foot pounds

I pulled up the Briggs manual 276 781, 331800 engine...its saying I need 220 foot pounds for the head bolts. Seems like a lot considering the head and block are both aluminum.

Advice? suggestions?

Please help!

You sure it didn’t say 220 inch pounds? Which would be almost 18.5 ft pounds when converted.

Okay so that’s in inch pounds and 25nm is newton meters. Both are almost 18.5 ft pounds when converted

Sooo, you don't have spark???

Pull the plug, connect to the spark plug wire and ground to the head.
Crank the engine over and visually look for spark at the plug.

Advise..

Does it have a spark? Spark plug wet or dry?
