I have an older walk-behind DR Field Mower with Kawasaki 17hp engine.  I have used/abused it for years.  Have the snowblower attachment.  Run it 12 months/year in northern Maine for grass, brush, snow, etc.

Im looking for a diagram or photo of the throttle linkage.  My throttle cable broke a while back.  I finally got around to buying a new one.  During the install it looks like there is a problem in the linkage- probably led to the cable failing in the first place.

Any info appreciated- JB

An engine model # would help to find your exact engine and a diagram of your linkage..

Good question.
Kawasaki FH500V.
I’m also trying to upload a photo of the disassemble linkage…

There's numerous sub models of that, see below..

And even with that, there's pic's but not very helpful:

Did that You Tube link help at all?

In any event most machines, the carb throttle is connected to the governor shaft (coming out of the engine directly).  There's often a small pulling spring around that piece of linkage to keep things taught.

With that said, there's usually a spring attached to the governor arm.  That should attach to
the operators manual, adjustable throttle...

Obviously it'll pull harder or softer on the governor adjusting the RPMs...

Thanks.  The parts diagram is helpful. I didn’t find that in my searches.
The spring 92145A had failed.  It is really small and flimsy.  I scavenged a spring off another piece of equipment and was able to reassemble and get it functional.
thanks for the help… JB
