Hello All.
My Toro  74360 serial 290011235 mower has a weird problem. I hugged a tree a little close on the left side at the rear wheel  and the mower instantly died. After a couple of tries to restart it turned out the main 30 amp fuse was blown. After replacing it the mower would start and run but as soon as I try to put on the blades or move the levers off the resting position the mower dies. I need to know the wiring to be able to figure out what is happening. If anyone has heard of this i would love to know what it is, or if anyone has a wiring diagram for my particular mower that would be great. Thanks!

I also have an older 2005 Timecutter as well

You may want to try by passing the seat switch:
(If 2 wires under the seat, un-plug the switch and run a jumper between them)

There's not much wiring to the machine, popping the main fuse is odd, with your circumstance.

If the seat switch by pass doesn't do anything, follow and check all wires for a short to ground.
Also, the lever safety switch for each handle are somewhat flimsy.  Make sure both switches are fully seated and the switch is working when the arms are moved..

Check battery cable connections as well as to the starter relay.  A loose/crappy connection
could pop the fuse

Hey SRT thanks for the reply.

I went through all the points you mentioned and it was actually the seat switch. Thanks for the Reply. I also noticed that when I hugged that tree a little that I broke the 7/16 x14 bolt that holds the link for the two drives. One side was leaning in and the link was hanging by the other bolt. I bought a new bolt and started to drill out the broken one and when I got through the broken bolt the whole thing just fell out. I needed to use a rachet strap to pull the two sides into postion so I could re-install the link.

Thanks again for the help!!  You saved an old goat more than a few bucks and I really appreciate it.

Excellent!

BTW, I left my seat switch by passed after I replaced the worn seat(as I'm the only one operating it).
