Tecumseh HM80 no spark

I am rebuilding an old 8 hp HM80 points ignition for my grandsons go kart. I replaced the points, capacitor and coil , set the gap and timing but no spark. I looked at the flywheel and discovered that the magnet had lost most of its magnetism. Is it possible to have the magnet “recharged”? Thanks..

Lawnboy 18’ish years old, started having blow by and piston slap, so noisy running old girl. I rebuilt it last winter with new rings gaskets cleaned up valves and adjusted lash.
