Kipor 3000 ti with rod knock?

I just got this for $50 but not sure I got a deal . .it is a kipor 3000ti and I got it running but it has what I think is a rod knock.  Can anyone tell me what this knocking noise is?  I took the valve cover off and all seems ok but haven't gone any further.  Thanks!  Ok so I cant upload the video as its too large but it runs and idles but has a loud rhythmic banging noise.  Ideas?!

Hi Scott . . it is a Kipor motor 4 cycle 1 cyl .  some of the parts are Honda.  I took the valve cover off and everything looks ok . . oil is clean.  I bought it as a non runner for $50 and it functions and produces electricity now but . . . . . Try this link

Ok, saw and heard the very short video.
 
It's hard to tell as the engine seems to be running bad, / slow, like loading up.
 
Can you get the engine to run at it's full 3,600 RPMs?
 
If equipped with an auto idle, turn it off so it'll rev..

well it has a new spark plug and I cleaned the carb and jet . . maybe there is some mechanical interference on the generator side . . I will see if I can get it up in the rpms.  The fuel pump seems weak .. .but it wouldn't cause that noise.

 I really didn't hear any unusual noises, but the video was short and definitly not running
at full power. 
 
If the carb drain screw is loosened while running and fuel (a "decent" amount)
comes out, the fuel pump should be fine.
 
****Try spraying some carb cleaner down the carb throat and see if it revs up..

Thanks Scott . . but I am surprised you can't hear the knock . . it is very loud and the engine jerks each time the noise is made.   Maybe I will try the long screwdriver to the ear bit and see if I can find the area that the noise is coming from . . . .

If the rod to crank gap(if worn out), you can sometimes "feel" it rocking the crankshaft back and forth
by the flywheel.  Get the piston about halfways up.  (Valve location doesn't matter)

Thanks Scott for your help.  It turned out to be the ignition trigger that was way out of adjustment . .that was a miss not a rod knock!!   Happy!!
