Valve adjustment

I have a Pro Gen Coleman Powermate with a 9hp Briggs. 185432 type 0606E1 code 99110949The only valve adjustment I can find tells me .002-.004. I set them both on .004 but was thinking the exhaust should be more like .006 ? Can anyone confirm if what I found on that series engine is correct. Thanks..
