Tecumseh 8HP Snowblower Engine Shuts Off Every 3-5 Minutes - HELP HELP

I NEED HELP............ I have an old Snow King 8HP 2-stage snowblower with Tecumseh 8HP engine.It shuts itself off every 3-5 minutes when I'm using it. Very frustrating.Not easy to start after that. Your correct about both the spark plug (either is fine) and the gap is .030". ...

Thanks for your reply, Scott. The plug currently in it is a Champion J8C but, who knows how old that is. Past experience tells me the "R" of the RJ8C denotes a Resister plug, which were used through the years to cut down ln radio interference. I did, however re-gap the plug to .030". It was a bit un..

Fuel Line Briggs Intek V-Twin

Previously posted a question on replacing all fuel line on a Briggs Intek V-Twin 25HP on our JD 155C tractor. Decided NOT to go with Tygon. Anyway, the tractor's up in Michigan and will be doing this in April. Hence the the "dumb" question: If I'm right, correct size used in this application is 1/4"..

I can't say if the manufacturer designed the float to sit level with the carb body when the needle is closed but it's over loading the carb with fuel and running rich so yes it needs put more pressure on the needle . That (in bold) IS CORRECT. The float should be level with the carb body when upside..

I've found the original fault on this by a process of elimination, the rough running is stopped by shutting off the fuel tank and running just the fuel in the carb bowl, the needle and seat are in perfect condition so that only leaves the float (which isnt leaking) not rising enough , older floats h..
