Thanks. I just don't remember it when i was replacing the carb. There are 2 other springs present, a heavier governor spring and I think it's a throttle idle spring. So a third spring around the throttle arm. Thanks...

Carb is not sealing at the needle and seat causing the overflow of fuel- IE crappossibly holding the needle from sealing or just Chinesium junk. 22 HP B&S 407777 0607 E2 on Craftsman YS 4500

Mower would not run under a load. Changed 697722 carburetor with aftermarket carb. Fuel is filling the air intake. I can't find the exact throttle/choke hookup. Is there a spring on the throttle linkage that I lost during the change, maybe?..

The screw I referred to isn't the idle stop screw, it's the larger screw, (flat head) that screws intothe body of the carb itself. Thanks Scott. I did try adjusting idle stop screw a little but will try again. I do need a new spark plug - as I am running with the old one. I guess I wasn't pursuing spark issues b/c it fired okay with starting-fluid. I do not have a sonic cleaner big enough for the carb. I've been spraying carb c..

Well, I don't think it's ignition either however, I would clean (or replace) the points and possibly the condenser. And make sure the points are gapped correctly. That carb looks pretty rough. Do you have access to a sonic cleaner? With that said, I believe once assembled (the carb), besides the idl..

Doesn't the flywheel magneto pass by the ignition coil on every revolution?
