Zero Turn belt falls off

bought a used 46" unit this spring. in great condition and runs great. the deck drive belt seems to fall off at least once every time i use it. previous owner did not hide the fact that it does happen guess i did not know how often. the pulleys have been changed and belt is tight. any thoughts ..

Something to remember, keep the Stihl lash on the tightish side.. ..but not more than what the feeler gauge allows. The manual says 0.10mm +/- 0.02mm., 1/10th of a mm. This is like paper thin. Another question. Does anybody know what Stihl tool 4282 890 2700 is used for? And, correct me if I am wro..

But anyway, the compression release problem has been solved. The valve lash was a little too lose after all. I guess it doesn't take much Ok, well that's great you found it. Something to remember, keep the Stihl lash on the tightish side.. ...

I checked the ignition switch, clutch/brake switch, reverse switch, attachment clutch switch and the seat switch. All are fine. I put it all back together and it starts right up and runs smoothly. But it only starts with the blades engaged. It will not turn over with the blades dis-engaged. No click..
