KT745-3031 HI SPEED ADJUSTMENT

I can only get 3450rpms. Looking to get 3750 for more blade speed. The low IDLE speed is 1750. I changed the spring from OEM 3rd hole to #2hole to get this. thanks I'll look into the coil. Was thinking that if it was failing do to heat it would have failed sooner but maybe not. OI'll post the results. Don't think this engine has a low oil cut off but I'll check that also. Joe..

One of two things: Either the ignition coil is failing, which is not un-usual.. When it dies, have a known good spark plug handy. Plug it into the spark plug wire, ground to head and look for spark.. Also, do you have a low oil shut off switch on that engine? It'd have a thin, probably black,single ..

I have a Kohler Command CV-16s 43514 with the SAM module, my module recently went out and it would not advance the timing past idle. B&S 344cc engine sputters/dies after 20+ minutes

I have this on mower and it has been doing this for the last month. I have done several things like drain the carb bowl but no luck. Let it sit for 1+ hour and it starts right up and runs for 20+ minutes then dies. Seems like carburetor but any other ideas? Strange that it would take that long for t..

I don't see it available any where.. If your slightly mechanically inclined, I'd remove what's left, take it to a hefty vise and go at it with a 5 lb ball peen hammer... You'd be surprised how much you can straighten it out as it's not terribly thick..Take your time... ...

If it's adjusted properly and still over revving, there's no other tests I know ofW/O pulling the sump cover (or side cover) for a visual of the governor itself. A side cover gasket is cheap, to peek inside. I'd pick one up, then if the governor is needed, get that later.. ...

Toro ring deck needed

The part I need is a Toro 88-9780 which is a steel ring in several pieces that bolts to the deck. I hit a rock and mangled mine. It is discontinued and no where to be found. The mower is a 71182 12-32 XL Toro tractor. Thanks!..

Scott, Thank you. That spring that goes from the governor arm to under the carb somewhere is what seems to be keeping the governor arm pulled towards the carb and keeping the throttle wide open. With that said, if I take that spring off temporarily, so there is no external force pulling on the arm, ..
