Koehler 7000 series I'm at a loss

Hello, new to the forum so I apologize if I missed a similar situation.
I have a lawn tractor with a koehler 7000 series 26 hp motor.  I have gone through the entire fuel system with new parts from fuel line to filter to pump to carb.  I am fairly certain that the only thing wrong with the old carb was the solonoid, but I can't find a replacement with just the one wire, I take that back, I did find one on amazon, but it was the wrong size thread to fit and the needle was a different size as well.  So i bought an entire carb, has the one wire solonoid but the pit is a different size so no choice but to use the whole carb.   It won't start with the needle in place, doesn't seem to open, I take the needle out and it will start and run (though not as smooth as pre-failure) but won't shut off....

Local shop has a 4 week wait before they even look at anything and my weeds are getting out of hand!  PLEASE HELP!!!

Thanks,
  Eric

Electrical problem with Timecutter 42"

Hello All.
My Toro  74360 serial 290011235 mower has a weird problem. I hugged a tree a little close on the left side at the rear wheel  and the mower instantly died. After a couple of tries to restart it turned out the main 30 amp fuse was blown. After replacing it the mower would start and run but as soon as I try to put on the blades or move the levers off the resting position the mower dies. I need to know the wiring to be able to figure out what is happening. If anyone has heard of this i would love to know what it is, or if anyone has a wiring diagram for my particular mower that would be great. Thanks!

Possible carburetor issue with Craftsman gas trimmer

Hello. I’m new to the forum and need some advice.

My son got a free Craftsman gas trimmer model C459.51212 (MTD 41ADZ20C899) that didn’t start and asked me to see if I could do something with it.

I noticed that the spark plug cable was defective and fixed the issue. I installed a new spark plug and filled the tank with new 40:1 gas.

The trimmer was difficult to start, did not run well and stalled after about 30 seconds. This occurred time after time.

I took the carburetor apart and noticed that the diaphragm and gaskets were not in the best of condition. I cleaned everything with carburetor cleaner and reassembled. I also cleaned the vent on the gas tank cap.

The trimmer still did not run smoothly and fast enough on full throttle.

I could not order a carburetor repair kit for this model from the repair shop but I found a very cheap kit from Walmart.ca that included a carburetor, gaskets, fuel hoses and fuel and air filters.

I installed the kit. Now, the trimmer starts somewhat easier but doesn’t run fast enough and stalls as soon as I release the gas throttle. I haven't done any adjustments on the low-high speed screws, really not sure how anyway.

Should I buy a more expensive and (possibly) better quality carburetor from the repair shop, now that I have new gaskets, fuel hoses and filters?

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you.

JD Z225 electrical/pto problems

I have a john deere z225 (2004).  I have had problems before with the pto, so I replaced it (2011). Recently, I replaced the engine (1 week ago) with a new B&S EX1900.  The engine runs perfectly and I have mowed with it in total approximately 1 hour.  Yesterday roughly 30 min. into mowing, the mower completely died. I started the mower again without issue and as soon as I engaged the pto, it died again. I have cleaned every connection and ran continuity tests in everything including the pto switch, ignition switch, solenoids, pto harness, and all 4 safety switches.  I traced all the wires from battery to solenoid, solenoid to harness and back again. I cant find or solve the issue. I need a little direction please!  Any ideas????
